My therapeutic values

A trusting and fruitful therapeutic relationship is the main factor for therapeutic success, more than any method. This much has been proven by research. Every person is as unique as their fingerprint and it is a great concern of mine to meet each person in their uniqueness. Vulnerability, from which beauty and strength can emerge, is a fundamental human condition. I see my task in helping the individual who entrusts himself to me to understand polarities in him- or herself, in life and experience not as mutually exclusive, but as indispensable parts of a whole (integration). In doing so, I stand by the person seeking help and support them in finding their very own "answers" within themselves. In the Socratic sense, I like to work in a maieutic way (maieutics = midwifery): Like a midwife, I am there (presence) and help with the birth of resources and ways of being that are not yet known. The birth of the new is done by the respective person him/herself. Of course, not only a sound education serves me, but also life experience.
